Parents Weekend!

This year parents weekend was held on Nov. 6-7. It started off with a bang with a desert after dinner party at Arch Bar. It was a chance for parents to mingle and get to know one another. On Saturday our parent's attended the GA. vs. Tenn. Tech homecoming game. With a win from GA the day was off to a great start! Following the game Delta Zeta hosted a cocktail dinner party at the classic center in downtown athens! It was a blast! Live music, dancing, and food our members and their parents had a blast!

I have a Choice

For this years I Have a Choice Program Zeta Pi decided to do something different from the usually mocktail party or another event involving only Zeta Pi’s. I Have a Choice was held on a Thursday night with Brother’s Under Christ (BYX) to promote an alternative to drinking and a fun night for members of both Greek organizations. Tthis year we had over 150 Zeta Pi and BYX members in attendance. The roller skating rink had a great atmosphere and the entire night was themed “the 1980s re-lived.” Zeta Pi has a long tradition of holding our 80s social with our favorite fraternity so it was a real treat that we could hold an 80s themed party with the brothers of BYX..The prized best dress went to a Zeta Pi who wore her mother’s prom dress from 1988.

11th Annual Wingbash

Our 11th annual Wingbash philanthropy event was a HUGE success! We held it at our house, and had all you can eat wings, chips and soda all for $5.00! We gave $4000 to the Turtle Grant and 6,416.60 to the Painted Turtle Camp and other national philanthropies. We are so thankful for everyone who participated and helped us out!

Our Chapter room received new fans, a paint job, and furniture and a huge flat screen television to make our house feel a little more like home. Each Tuesday night, we are going to have a movie night in our chapter room so that the girls can bond together!

Big / Little Reveal

Big sis/ Lil sis reveal was September 9th, 2009! The older girls created a scavenger hunt throughout the house with clues and pieces of a costume attached to string as they went along! Painted Turtle Camp

This summer, we were able to finance sending two of our members to go work out at the Painted Turtle Camp in California for a week each. Amanda Ness and Shannon Lazo both had such amazing experiences and memories to share with the rest of the Chapter. These girls were also able to see where exactly our money we raised in our philanthropy actually went to, which is exciting for them and also the Zeta Pi chapter!
